Construction Vibration Monitoring Of A Wood-Framed, Slab-On-Grade House with Southwestern-style Stucco Exterior Walls

This site is no longer monitored. The data presented here was taken between June 17 and September 24, 2002.

A wood-framed, slab-on-grade structure has been equipped with five crack displacement sensors to measure the displacement of cracks in the existing, interior drywall and exterior stucco walls. Additional independent sensors have been installed inside and outside to record hourly temperature and humidity. Ground motion due to trenching and vibratory compaction equipment for the widening and reconstruction of West Ann Road will be measured in order to compare dynamic, construction induced effects with long-term weather induced effects.
